Tiennie was just talking the other day about her love affair with Malabrigo which doesn't suprise me, seeing as how I was just fondling a few skeins last week. We always seem to be on the same wavelength knit-wise, she's always knitting something I was planning on knitting or vice-versa.
So I was moving in this weekend and the very first thing I did was start unpacking and bonding with my yarn (it had been too long!) I pulled out two skeins of malabrigo worsted and could not put them down. Those things are sooooft!
I had seen a scarf here that really inspired me, sometimes you have to get back to your knitting roots and knit some plain ol garter stitch in yummy yarn. It's like knit meditation.
The un-structions are as follows - CO 22 stitches on size US8 needles (I like to knit scarves on straights or DPNs in my case since I can't find my straights.) Knit every row until you run out of yarn or reach perfect knit-zenness and cast off. I'll have to see if I knit 1 skein or 2, depending on how much yardage I get out of it and let you know.
OMMMMMMM...... =)

Congratulations on the house and your high speed internet! The house looks wonderful. Now that you have knit in your new home it has been christened. :o)

One day I'll have to find out what you're talking/writing about! I must be the only person who has never knitted with Malabrigo & nobody told me what garter stitch was till a few years ago ;-)

That is gorgeous! I haven't seen that color yet. I hope all is going well with your move and acclimating.
You're right. We are always on the same wavelength! I think Angelika wants us to do a small KAL on the Lace Style book.

Oh, Malabrigo, how I love thee. Isn't it fabulous to work with? I made a sweater out of it last winter, and promptly ordered enough for a second one. It's addictive! Your scarf is lovely, perfect meditation knitting, indeed!

I just did a very similar Malabrigo scarf in Pink Frost (the same as Craftoholic) -- but I absolutely love your blue one. Isn't it therapeutic?!

Mmmmmalabrigo. Love it. I have some garter-stitch gloves in Little Lovely. I may have to make a small scarf to match with my leftovers... Congratulations on the house!
