Hi Everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. I spent my time sewing some diapers...
A cute little all-in-one with PUL outer, OBV inner and Bamboo/Hemp Soakers...
And did some knitting on the longest sock ever!
I love the idea of this socks construction in theory - you knit 1 super long tube with ribbing on both ends. Then you fold the sock in half and cut it apart. You then knit an afterthought toe.
When you're ready to gift the socks, or whenever you're ready to determine how long you want the foot to be you try it on and mark where the heel should go. Then you cut the heel portion open and knit an afterthought heel. Pretty neat! I'm a little knitted out on it though, getting a little bored of the never ending knitting.

Whoa! That sock construction is brilliant! Also brilliant is that yarn you're using...amazing colors. And, OMG, how adorable is that diaper?!

I love that yarn! I hope you'll take photos of the rest of the sock process. It sounds really interesting.
I don't have any articles to recommend but I will tell you something encouraging. I spent the morning cleaning out half of the garage. The car is now filled with stuff to be given away and I took a load yesterday, too. Your good habits are rubbing off on me. :)

Oh, that sock seems weird to me! GAH! I think I might have an OCD freak out that one direction will be ravel-able on one sock and it would be the opposite on the other. Why that is an issue for me only god knows. I do, however, LOVE afterthought anythings. What cute diapers! Stylish baby ;)

That sock sounds amazing! And I LOVE that yarn--but, I don't recognize it. Can you mention it in a future post, please? I've just started following your blog, so I apologize if you've already done this in the past.

Hi Lynn - welcome! :)
The yarn is amazing - it is from yarntini. She does a self-striping club that I am a member of. The colorway is called match point. If you really like the colors you might be able to find somebody destashing on ravelry. There is a yarntini yarn group. Happy Knitting!
