I'm filled with Glee!
Last week when I wanted some easy, mindless knitting that wasn't socks I started the glee top. I had been eyeing it for a long time, but when I saw Lolly's it was all over, I needed to make that top! There's also super cute ones, here and here. Luckily I had the perfect yarn in my stash already, 3-ply prime alpaca from the village spinning & weaving shop. I bought it at stitches years ago and it's so very soft, I just want to pet it. =) They come in half-pound skeins, and I have two, although I think I can make the top from just 1 skein (only 22 dollars, for alpaca!) The color is nutmeg, and all the colors are natural, not dyed, 100% superfine alpaca. Yummy!

I may have mentioned this before - but I love bags. Each new project I start immediately gets placed in one of my knitting bags. The glee top for example is living in a green mountain handcrafted knitting bag. It's a small baquette sized with vintage fabrics and wooden handles that are hand-made. I love it, lots. The perfect size for a smaller project or even socks.
AND I ordered the yarn for the ripple blanket this week. It's so very yummy but you'll have to wait til it gets here so I can suprise you with it. The colors will probably even suprise myself as I ordered it off the computer screen, but we'll see how it goes. Ripples, away!
